WHO WE ARE
ActionAid International Kenya’s, Global Platform Kenya is a training hub for youth empowerment and activism. We work with young people, organisations and movements fighting for social justice.
The Global Platform (GP) is a dynamic and inspiring environment where participants live and learn together, where they can think freely, develop their own ideas, and connect, discuss, and act on local, national, and global political issues.
ActionAid Global Platform Kenya works closely with the wider ActionAid International Federation to ensure link between strategic aims, programmatic themes, and synergy between activities at local, regional, and global levels.
WHAT WE DO
We offer trainings that Empower and Connect People and Inspire them to Take Action
Together with movements, organizations, and individuals we promote the  agenda of progressive social, political, and economic change through trainings that empower people, inspire them to organize and act, and connect individuals, movements, and organizations from the grassroots to the global level. We are locally rooted and globally connected.
Global Platform Kenya works with other youth serving organizations to co-create Youth-Led spaces for building collective power. GP Kenya is a founding member of the Youth Serving Organizations (YSO) in Kenya. The YSO currently brings together 15 youth-serving organizations with a purpose to speak with one voice and address issues affecting young people in Kenya, advocate for improved service delivery by taking part in initiatives and activities that promote meaningful engagement of young people in decision making.
GP Kenya also works with young people, youth -led and youth serving organizations, to set up satellite Youth Hubs that are self-sustaining through different projects including: creative labs for music and Artivism, hostels, mobile training hubs, Information, Communication and Technology for Development (ICT4D) spaces, digital communities, cafés, research centers, eco-gardens etc. Aimed at protecting this public against sexual exploitation, abuse, defamation, slander and other forms of violence.Based on the General Data Protection Law, it guides on the treatment and protection of personal data of our donors, financiers, supporters and visitors to our website.

We offer a variety of trainings for empowerment and activism – and tailor-made capacity support for organizations and movements.
We can develop and deliver tailor-made training and consultancy services. This is available to all civil society organizations, movements, private sector institutions, and government bodies seeking to embed governance, accountability, human rights, and gender mainstreaming approaches with a youth lens in their work.
