Land And Climate

We advance for communities and women living in poverty and exclusion to secure
their rights to land and other natural resources for improved livelihoods through
sustainable agriculture.

Land, for Kenya’s population that largely depends on agriculture for sustenance, remains an important resource and contributor to the livelihoods of women and communities living in poverty and exclusion.

n advancing for women and communities to secure their land rights, we promote women living in poverty and exclusion, their institutions and solidarity groups to influence and monitor the implementation of laws, policies and visions on land, extractives and natural resources at national and international levels. We support women and community-led advocacy actions for their rights to land to be recognised and protected by State institutions, and support processes that support women and excluded communities to register and secure their rights in community land.

We support movements of women living in poverty and exclusion to promote income generation through diversification of livelihoods (value chains) for women and youth using agroecology and other climate-resilient agriculture techniques like soil and water conservation.

Communities living in poverty and exclusion, their institutions and solidarity groups are facilitated through our engagement with them, to advocate for increased Public Finance in Agriculture at County and National levels targeted to value chains controlled by women.
