A central theme of the meeting was its comprehensive approach to gender-based violence, focusing on both survivor support and long-term prevention strategies that promote safety, dignity, and justice for women and girls.

The meeting also explored critical issues related to peace and security, particularly in conflict-prone and marginalized regions. ActionAid Kenya shared its contributions to peacebuilding, including the promotion of social cohesion, establishment of community-level conflict resolution mechanisms, and deployment of early warning systems to prevent violence.

Further discussions addressed the need to enhance social protection systems and increase resilience in areas facing insecurity, displacement, or climate-induced shocks. Both parties acknowledged that lasting development and peace require joint action and sustained collaboration between government and civil society actors.
